I have never been one to post my opinions on social media. I never understood the point in people getting angry at one another over the internet just because their opinions differ. I myself like to keep to keep quiet on such issues. However, today after seeing SO many posts about gay marriage becoming legalized, I feel the need to speak up.
I love God. I love God because He has loved me in the times where the world would deem me unlovable. And when you understand, and I mean REALLY begin to comprehend His amazing and perfect love… you want to share it with EVERYONE!! Today I saw many posts both for and against gay marriage. Today I saw people rejoicing, and I saw people expressing their anger over the matter. I’m not going to say wether or not I fully agree or disagree with gay marriage, because honestly I haven’t spent too much time really praying about the matter. I remain pretty neutral on the subject. Yes, I believe the bible is straight forward when it says marriage is for a man and a woman. BUT, i also know that the bible says no one sin is greater than another. So, there in lies why I remain neutral. I am not God. It’s not my place to judge or say that your sin and struggles are worse than my own, because they’r not. I struggled and still daily struggle, with a laundry list of sins. I am human. We all are. And as a fellow human, and a as a sister in Christ, I am called… WE are called, to love each other fiercely through our differences, and to build each other up. Our mission in life as followers of Christ is to be His hands and feet, and to be a living example of his love.

My brothers and sisters, let love win today. Let God’s love win. Be the light that shines in the midst of all the hate and anger. Love your neighbor even if you don’t agree with their life decisions. Be love today.
