Well, the time has come and gone and some of you may have noticed… I didn’t go to Guatemala. We were scheduled to fly out at 7am on the 13th, but a snow and ice storm blew through the country the day before, leaving us stranded at home unable to drive on the Georgia roads.
I’ll be honest, I was super bummed at first. Everything had been building to this point and within 24 hours, it was gone. But, you know what? Our God is sovereign. And He’s pretty good at timing. Turns out, it wasn’t time for us to go to Guatemala… and on top of that, we were thinking way too small. God asked us to wait.
I didn’t know that this would begin a season of the Lord teaching me to wait. In every aspect of my life He is teaching me to heed to His control. To stop ‘should’ing’ in relationship with Him. To let go and wait for Him to act. He’s been pretty unclear on where He’s taking me, physically and spiritually. But I trust Him. I know, without a doubt, that He’s got me. There’s no need to fear.
To return to Guatemala… our trip as been rescheduled! We’ve prayed into it and been given the word “more.” So we’re taking more people, spending more time and praying over more areas. This trip is so much more than we could have ever imagined.
On March 21, I’ll be heading to Guatemala with a group of twenty people. We will being spending time in Antigua and Lake Atilan, worshiping and praying over the land. We are going to support the long-term bases Adventures has down there in the vision the Lord has given them!
But I can’t do this alone. I need your support. In order to go to Guatemala, I have to raise $700 by March 12. I believe the Lord has big plans for my team and I in Guatemala and would love to have you partner with God’s plans for our time there!
If you’d like to do so, you can give a tax-deductible donation by clicking on the “Support Me!” tab on the left hand side of this page.
If you have any questions you can comment on this blog or email me at [email protected] I’d love to set up a time to chat with you about what the Lord has placed on our hearts for this trip and why He has me going!
Thanks so much!
