God has a funny way of changing the plans we make for ourselves. In my last blog I let you all in on the anointing God has been revealing to me and since the second month of the race I had my response planned out. I would return to school to further my education to aid in leading worship. I thought that was the only option for me.
In the past few months I have formed a list of schools but had committed to waiting on the Lord to let me know when the decision should be made. I was in no hurry to choose a school, but the list of schools and the impending decision were always in the back of my mind.
As we entered our eight month debrief, the list continued to grow as people made suggestions of schools they had heard of. I became a bit overwhelmed by the length of the list. As I prayed about it, I heard God say, “Stop! Stop trying to figure it out. When I’m ready for you to know, you will know.” I felt immediate peace. Though the direction was even less clear, my faith in God’s timing was stronger than ever.
I had no clue that His timing would be so soon.
It happened over the course of three days. Someone mentioned the program to me and I brushed it off thinking, “Nah, it’s not for me.” But as the day went on, I couldn’t get it out of my mind. The next day, I got online to read a little more about it. My interest was sparked, but I continued to pray, “Your timing, Lord.” That evening our squad coordinator, Tim, talked to us about “Re-entry.” He talked about what it was going to be like when we got home and the decisions we would have to make. It was all good information… I nodded my head in agreement as he spoke, but there was one thing he said that sent a wave of electricity through my body. He said, “You can do a lot of things, but there is one thing I will tell you: Do not be idle.”
Before the race, that was my life. I would go to work, come home, and sit on my butt. I watched way too much TV, I was completely checked out of my life. It reflected into my relationship with the Lord. As Tim spoke, I had the thought pass through my mind, “I cannot do that again.”
The next day, Tim talked to us again about some of our options post-race. As he spoke I felt the peace of God settle upon me with an extra injection of excitement and nerves. If you’ve ever felt the Lord’s clear, undeniable leading in your life.. you know what I’m talking about. As the next 24 hours progressed, I received confirmation in various ways.
Through conversations with people currently in the program, I came to see the heart behind it. And I was pulled toward it more and more. Every doubt that raised in my mind was met with the Lord reminding me of things He had shown me over the past six months.
So here it is, this September I will be moving to Gainesville, GA to be a part of their Center for Global Action.
To give you a brief overview of the program… They mix a few components: Community, Apprenticeship, and Discipleship. I will be living in community, working at Adventures in Missions and attending classes on discipleship, leadership, Kingdom living, etc. At the end of eight months, I will go on the field for four months. This can look a couple different ways. Squad leading, working at training camps, and full time work at AIM are all options available.
On top of the program, I will be a part of the Worship Track. Here’s the description they give:
“The focus of the Worship Track is developing a lifestyle of worship and intercession as sons and daughters of the Father. This goes beyond corporate times of praise and worship and reaches into all aspects of life. The track encourages individuals to step into their God-given authority to bring Kingdom, in and beyond Adventures.
You don’t have to be a “worship leader,” sing or even play an instrument to be actively involved in the track. You DO need to be interested in cultivating the presence of God and seeing His presence change a place, people, and environment to come nearer to Jesus.”

I see CGA as my journey continued. As a launching pad into the future God has for me. As an opportunity to set my heart and mind in the direction the Lord desires. To devote a year to becoming a worshiper in every aspect of my life.
Here’s where I need your help. You have all been incredible this year. Through your prayer and financial support you made my race possible. In order to step into the next season of my journey, I will need to continue to support raise. During my time in the Center for Global Action, I will need a minimum of $300 a month to pay for my housing & food as well as my time on the field at the end of the year.
So again, would you prayerfully consider supporting me as I continue my journey into what the Lord has for planned for me?
You can make a tax deductible donation the same way as before, by clicking the “Support Me!” tab on the left side of this page.
I love you all tremendously.
Blessings from Tanzania,
Hannah
