Dear Nepal,

A country of beauty, no one can deny.

Your peaks and valleys are truly an amazing sight.

The Father’s artistry on display for all to see,

observe it in the mountains, bold and mighty.

We’re awestruck by the splendor,

we stand silent at the sight.

And see your sons and daughters,

just look into their eyes,

the beauty of the himalayas is found deep inside.

But trek deep into your villages and see what you can see.

There’s corruption and hate, your people are not free.

Look at your daughters, you sell them in greed.

You give up their lives,

And for what?
A little money?

You slaughter your children,

drown your sorrows in wine;

you abuse your women

you’re clutched at the enemies side.

But there is freedom for you, though you may not see.

Your penalty was paid through blood on a tree.

Jesus came to love the weary and the lost.

He’ll pull you out of  darkness,

He already paid the cost.

The light of His glory

darkness shall not overcome.

So rise up people of God,

There’s a light in Nepal.

Matthew 11:28-30
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.

Isaiah 57:18-19
I have seen his ways, but I will heal him; I will lead him and restore comfor to him and his mourners, creating the fruit of the lips. Peace, Peace, to the far and to the near, says the Lord, and I will heal him.

Isaiah 61:1
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor, he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound.
