Cambodia. The month came and it went. With lightning speed, the people, the language, the food, the squatty potty, the pigs, the cows, the rice fields, everything we came to love.. is gone.
It's an interesting life we are living on the race. We enter a country, we partner with a ministry. We bond with the people… and then we leave. It's a tough life to live.. but I am blessed to be able to say that I now have friends in Malaysia. In Australia. In Vietnam. And in Cambodia.
The month was amazing. We taught English to a large group of beautiful Cambodian children. It wasn't until we left that we realized how much we had come to love them.
As we go, we carry with us faces and names of the people in the village, sounds of laughing children and squealing pigs, images of sunsets and oxen rides, the taste of rice and fresh vegetables. A love for a country I never thought I'd visit.
So long, Cambodia. Stay beautiful.
