Who I Am & Where I Come From

To begin, my name is Hannah Coulter. I was born in Houston, Texas on May 14, 1991.. that makes me twenty years old currently. I was raised by my two wonderful parents, Bill and Donna, and I have two older brothers, Michael and Adam. I lived in Huffman, TX for the first ten years of my life until my father's job was transferred, moving us to Robinson, IL. After six years we were transferred once again, moving us to Lima, OH. It was there that I graduated from high school. Following high school I attended college in Spokane, WA. I lived in the beautiful Northwest for a year before I felt the Lord was leading me to return home. Just a few months after returning home, we moved once again. Currently I live with my parents in Malvern, OH.

What I'm Doing With My Life

This is a question I have been asked many times in my life. Throughout the past five years my answer has changed quite a bit. I have always had a passion for animals, more specifically dogs. Immediately following high school I was dead-set on being a professional dog trainer. Following this dream. I attended National K-9 School for Dog Trainers. After 6-weeks of intensive learning, I can now call my self a Certified Professional Dog Trainer. Following my certification I began searching for a job, but all doors seemed to close. I decided to return to school and registered for classes at a local community college. In the Summer of 2009 I began to feel God directing me towards ministry in a way I'd never experienced before. Before classes began that Fall I had the opportunity to travel to Uganda, Africa with a group from my church. It was during my time in Uganda that I finally submitted to God's leading and made the decision to apply to Moody Bible Institute. Although I was not accepted to the main Chicago campus, I was accepted to attend their satellite campus in Spokane, WA. In the Fall of 2010, I made the trek to the Northwest. In my year at Moody I learned a tremendous amount about the Bible, ministry, God Himself, and finally, about myself and my role in the Kingdom of God. As the year came to a finish, I began to feel that God was leading to return home without a degree. At the time, I had no clue what He had in store for me, but I followed. I'm sure you can figure out what His plan was… me going on the World Race. Since October of last year I have been working at Petsmart as a dog bather. As for the question: "What are you doing with your life?" My answer would be..  Living for a God who has a greater plan than I could ever imagine.

For those of you who didn't get a physical copy of my support letter, here you go!

Dear Family and Friends,

I pray that this letter finds you well. I am writing to let you know about some exciting things God is doing in my life. As some of you may know, in September of 2009 I spent a little over two weeks in Uganda, Africa. In my time there, God broke my heart for the people I encountered. I knew the impact of that trip would stay with me for the rest of my life. No longer could I live in ignorance of the rest of the world. I attended Moody Bible Institute’s satellite campus in Spokane, Washington for a year. There, I learned a tremendous amount about ministry, the Bible, God Himself, and finally, about myself and my role in the Kingdom of God. As the year came to a finish, I began to feel that God was leading me to return home without a degree. At the time, I had no clue what He had in store for me, but I followed. For the past year I’ve been searching for the reason God had me return home and I am writing to share His answer with you.

In September, I will be embarking on the journey of a lifetime. I will be serving as a missionary through an organization called Adventures in Missions in their World Race program. The World Race is an 11-month Christian mission trip to 11 different countries around the world. On the World Race, my team and I will serve in partnership with churches and ministries in local communities to preach the Gospel, plant churches, work in orphanages, minister to women and children who are trapped in prostitution as a result of human trafficking, and bring the restoration and hope of the Father’s love to many tribes and nations.

I am incredibly excited that God has given me the opportunity to be used by Him in this way, and I trust that He will provide all that I need in preparation for and during my trip. God has blessed me with an amazing community of believers who are surrounding me; that’s you. I am writing to you to ask if you would consider partnering prayerfully and financially with me in my ministry. In order for me to be a part of this trip I must raise $15,500, which will cover all of my expenses on the field. This financial support can be given as a one-time gift or as a monthly donation, wherein you choose the amount and beginning and end date. If 51 people will donate just $25 a month for 12 months I will have enough to cover my entire trip.

Please make checks payable to “Adventures In Missions – Hannah Coulter” and send them to Adventures In Missions, PO Box 534470, Atlanta, GA, 30353-4470. If you would prefer to make your donation online, you may do so by visiting my blog site at : hannahcoulter.theworldrace.org. Just click the “Support Me” link on the upper left side of the page and complete your donation as instructed.

I am excited to see what God has in store for me in the next year. I hope not only to be a blessing to those I serve, but also to you. I would be honored to go as your representative to bring Christ Jesus to nations around the world. I want to thank you in advance for your prayers and financial support. May God bless you as you prayerfully consider partnering with me in this ministry.

Joyfully,
        Hannah
