Hello! Hola! Selam! Chum reap suor! Hey Y’all!

The year I’ve been working toward for the past 12 years has finally arrived. I am a senior! With the help of my parents, Meridian Christian Home Educators and Meridian Classical, I have homeschooled since 6th grade. This year, I am dual enrolled with Meridian Community College. I am receiving college and high school credit. Homeschooling has allowed my family and me the flexibility to participate in missions and mission trips throughout the years.

Since I was a little girl, my family has been involved in missions — my parents even met on a summer mission trip! Over the years, my love for serving others in the name of Jesus has grown. I vividly remember the moment when I sensed this is what I wanted to do with my life. I was standing in a medical clinic in Haiti comforting a young boy who was sick with a high fever, waiting to see the doctor. I did not want this to be the last child in great need that I would comfort. Fast forward a few months, and I’m standing in a coliseum with my mom for the Propel Women’s Conference. We were there to worship with some friends & Kari Jobe and to sit under the teaching of Priscilla Shirer and Christine Caine. During the invitation at the end of the day of worship, I surrendered to God’s call on my life. I said YES to serving Him through missions. Not exactly sure what this calling would look like for me (short term or long term?), I simply trusted God to reveal each step. And, He certainly has! He’s opened several doors of opportunity for me to serve through various missions since then, and I’ve followed Him through each one. Each time I follow Him on mission, God affirms His calling more, grows my passion to serve Him on the mission field, and I leave a piece of my heart with the people.

After a missionary visited our church and shared with our student ministry about her journey to the Philippines, I sensed the Lord was asking me to trust him for a longer period of time and to put my college plans on hold temporarily. At the same time, while I was feeling urged by The Lord, the missionary shared about her experience with Adventures in Missions (AIM) and The World Race. After learning more about the organization and the mission’s program, I felt that God was calling me to serve with AIM on The World Race – Gap Year.

The World Race Gap Year is a 9 month Christian mission trip to 3 continents around the world (#3n9). One of the unique things about the World Race Gap Year is that it’s not only a mission trip but also an intensive discipleship program designed to launch my generation into our specific kingdom calling. Through the World Race, my team and I will serve in partnership with churches and ministries in local communities to preach the Gospel, plant churches, work in orphanages, minister to women and children trapped in prostitution as a result of human trafficking, and bring the restorative hope of the Father’s love to many tribes and nations.

I will face many challenges all throughout the World Race, but as I prepare for my departure, one of my greatest challenges is finding my financial support. Like most other missions organizations, World Race participants are required to fundraise financial support. In order to leave fully funded in September 2018, I need to raise $15,800. While the number is daunting, this money will cover all of my field expenses for the 9 months of the trip. As I take this large step of faith in trusting the Lord, would you prayerfully consider joining me in this journey — whether through monthly donations, a one-time donation, and/or your prayers? I would really appreciate your prayers and any financial support you are led to share.

You are able to donate by mailing in checks to AIM or by clicking DONATE at my blog: hannahcooper.theworldrace.org.

I would love to answer any questions you may have. Please call me or email me at [email protected].

I am praying that God will clearly place on your heart the best way for you to support me. I am so excited to see how God will work and be glorified in this process.

‘How will they know if they are not told?’ -Romans 10:13

Thank you for your love, friendship, encouragement, and prayers over the years,

 <3 Hannah Coops

Financial Support Details:

  • Financial support can be given as a one-time gift or as a monthly donation.
  • If 40 people gave $40 for 10 months, I would reach my fundraising goal!
Monthly donations may begin as soon as possible and go through November 2018.

There are several ways to donate to my mission:

  • Send a check to Adventures in Missions, P.O. Box 742570, Atlanta, GA 30374 – 2570.  (Please write my name on the memo line of the check.)
  • The quickest and easiest way to donate is online:  Click the DONATE button in the left column or the orange rectangle at the top of my blog: hannahcooper.theworldrace.org
  • Dynapay is a great option as well – *this is an automated, recurring donation*
Go to http://www.adventures.org/dynapay to sign up.
This option is great for monthly donors, because it takes money out automatically when you set a start date and end date

Note:
All donations are tax-deductible

(Adventures In Missions is a tax-exempt organization under IRS code 501(c)(3) and is a member of the ECFA. (Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability).
