Hiii. I know I have been real MIA from the bloggin world. But have no fear, I’m back and I’m fixin to fill y’all in on the life of Hannah Brown.

While all y’all in America are busy fillin out your NCAA tourny brackets, I’ve been practicin pinning up my saree while eatin buttered nan here in Nizamabad, India.

It’s day 190 of the World Race. And pardon my language since I’m in Asia but holy cow it certainly has been a ride..

So here is what we can catch up on.

Nepal: For our ministry in Nepal, we got to trek in the mountains and go to several different villages along the way to spread the love of Jesus. This was the kind of month I always pictured for the race. The big ol Deva bag that I bought what seems like an eternity ago at the outdoor store was finally comin to real live use when I wore it literally on my back walkin through the country of Nepal. Before I decide I want to hike the Appalachian Trail, I really need to find an alternative to granola bars because after 16 days of em…no bueno.

Buff fried momos. Taxi cabs that don’t slow down for pedestrians. Being told yes a million times which really means no ma’am. Rooftops. Watchin the last 2 minutes of the Super Bowl at Hannah’s Cafe. Grocery store shopping for 16 days worth of food that’s gonna be on my back and havin absolutely no idea what to get. (can’t go wrong with tuna and pb people..) Hot tea everytime we went to a new house (talkin twice a day if not more..). Makin homemade chicken curry. Bachelor season pass on iTunes to somewhat feel connected to America. $27 cortas. Dryin my wool socks out the window of the jeep. Prae-Sum-Sa aka my own little 13 year old sherpa/hairstylist/manicurist/chocolate gifter/cuddle buddy. Killin and de featherin a chicken. Baby wipe showers on baby wipe showers. Home to Mama by Justin Beiber. Washin my hair in a big ol river in my sports bra. 4 bus rides in one day. Being absolutely terrified on a bus and thinkin that I was fixin to fall down the cliff to my death. Samosas. A zoo with deer, monkeys, and a cheetah. Ferris wheel rides sketchier than the county fair. Communion with fanta and nan. Witnessing a woman possessed by demons. Yep. Sweat marks on my t shirt an hour into trekking with my pack hiked on muh back. Nepalese mommas. That first breath after I saw the Himalayas for the first time. Ridin 3 deep on a rickshaw. Sportin breathin masks due to the dust and fumes all over the city. Hot breads bakery. Flight to Mount Everest (worth the 4 hour delay and every bloomin cent!). Jumping off a bridge off the worlds highest canyon swing.

The Lord really showed me a lot in Nepal. If I wasn’t grateful for shower heads and nail polish remover before…this brought them on a whole nother level. The Father has been so faithful to me and even when you don’t have enough clean socks and gotta rewear a pair all month – He is worth it. The villages are worth it. The people are worth it. God is good y’all.

Overall this country is amazing and Kathmandu is filled with knock off north faces and is a trekkers paradise. And the queen of bucket lists herself (ahhem muah) may or may not have added summit everest on as the latest and greatest. So Nepal, I’ll be back.
