It’s harder than I thought to explain The World Race. I have a lot of little details I like to string together in a messy pattern & patiently wait to see if the listener is superhuman enough to have followed along.

The World Race is about travel and adventure and relationships and yes, so many fun and awesome things.

But it’s also about service, turning yourself inside out for others and giving more than you knew you had to give. It’s about sacrifice, living with less, being vulnerable and letting what you have between your two hands and 6 teammates be enough. It’s taking risks, getting your hands dirty, growing and letting change happen even when you like things the way they were. It’s about letting Jesus transform you and it’s about prayer… oh it is SO about prayer. It’s about so much I can hardly stand it.

I can’t really think of the perfect way to explain it, but I want to provide some way of understanding because at this stage in my journey, I am still very dependent. On friends and family for their financial support. On myself for strength and humility. On my fellow World Racers for prayer and encouragement. But mostly on God… for everything, all of it. For the constant reminder that He wrote this World Race chapter in my story and that He will help me see it come to life.

So while I cannot yet give you a look into the life that I will personally be living next year, I can provide you with this amazing video that Adventures in Missions has put together. I owe you that much, to see what I fell in love with and what brought me here. I have watched just about ten thousand videos about the World Race from current and past racers and I know how much more they can tell you than what I could right now.

Watch and see what I see. Listen to the words that made themselves at home in my mind and see the faces of people who settled into my heart. There is so much to be done in this world for His Kingdom. I am delirious when I think that I am allowed to do a little bit, even though God could go ahead and do it all without a drop of my effort.

So watch the video below and see for yourself what I fell in love with. It’s just 3 minutes, but it’s packed with amazing footage and truth that will give you a glimpse of the life I will be living next year.
