But wait, why the World Race?

Well, it all started a few years ago. I went with my friend on spring break to South Carolina. We stayed with her cousin who happened to be quite the world traveler. Her travels intrigued me, but one trip that interested me the most was her trip to 11 countries in 11 months. She went on to tell me about the World Race and all the insane things she had to undergo. She was on the first team ever, so it was a lot less structured. I thought it was totally crazy and immediately thought to myself “that sounds cool, but I will NEVER do anything like that.” As time went on, I found myself continually thinking about it. I was still inspired by her stories a year later that I decided to go on my first mission trip. Going to Haiti really opened my eyes and I found that mission work was something God had totally given me a heart for. One of my cousins actually went on the World Race and I was recently able to talk to with him about it. I continued to feel God nudging me even after that, so here I am; trusting in the good Lord to equip me with everything I need to further His kingdom and make His name known.

“‘Because he loves me,’ says the LORD, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation.” Psalm 91:14-16

For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.” Isaiah 41:13
