I NEED TO RAISE $16,254.35
Some of you might be thinking that’s a big number Hannah, you could buy a pretty nice, new car with that, Hannah. And you would be completely correct. But guess what? It’s absolutely doable. To be completely honest, fundraising has been the least of my concerns throughout this whole process. Mostly because when you’re used to raising funds for a camp that costs over $100,000, $16,000 kind of loses its scare-factor. I am confident God will provide, and I am confident he will push me out of my comfort zone to do so.
Because I’ll let you in on a little secret: I strongly dislike fundraising. I hate having to ask for money. I hate not being able to just earn what I need. I hate being reliant on other people for monetary support. Maybe I hate having to be reliant on God for monetary support. I’ll do it, and I have time and time again, but I’m not always cheerful about it.
I told God over and over and over again that I didn’t want to do anything post-college that would require me to raise money. But I think somewhere deep inside I knew he’d make me do this, make me see his provision this way.
Here’s the attitude shift I have to have; a shift about allowing God to provide for me in every single way. A shift of not only relenting the pride I clutch daily, but also allowing my heart to be molded into whatever He pleases.
I don’t know how, I don’t know from who or where or what, but I know God is the wealthiest guy in the universe so as long as I obey, he’ll provide. He is Jehovah Jireh.

I will be selling t-shirts to raise money for the race. At this point we’re looking at a really cool design on a comfort color shirt that hopefully you will actually wear. Yes, I want to raise money from the shirts, but I also want them to be prayer tools, so that when you wear it, you’ll remember to pray for our team throughout that day! I should have the design done soon, so be on the look out
I’ll be sending out support letters and prayer cards. I’ll probably have a few restaurants you can eat at where a portion of the proceeds go to my trip, and undoubtedly lots of other little things down the line.
I am expectant for the Lord’s provision and would love for you to come alongside me during this whirlwind of a year!
