This month my team and I are in the middle of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. We arrived right at the beginning of the Chinese New Year so it has been CRAZY busy everywhere you go!

Let me paint a picture for you…

People are everywhere, spilling out of the bars and restaurants onto the street that is packed with moto bikes and vans trying to get through. Venders are walking by with there stacks of books or shelves of sunglasses that they are trying to sell, and there is a weird smell of fish that seems to linger on the streets wherever you go. The sounds of the city surround you as you walk through the streets trying your best to not get hit!

We are doing UH (unsung heroes) ministry this month which means that we are in search of new ministries that can possibly partner with AIM. We get to make our own schedule which leaves a lot of time for things that we want to pursue, relationships that we want to build, and connections that we want to make. With all the visitors here for Chinese New Year there is no lack of people around.

On the first night that we arrived my teammate Ariane decided that we should do a prayer walk around where we live. A lot of us have a heart for the women and child caught up in the sex trafficing, but also we felt the need to just pray for the streets.

During the new year celebration there were crowds of people pouring out of the bars and just enjoying their holiday. My heart hurt for them for some reason but I couldn’t think why.. and than it hit me.

That was me not too long ago..

I was the girl that would gladly go to the bar whenever there was anything going on.

Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying that having a drink or two is a bad thing by any means, it was just my trigger.

I didn’t know when to stop, and I didn’t know how to say no.

I was stuck in this whirlwind that I didn’t know how to stop.

Good thing G*d is so much bigger than that!

When I hit the bottom He built me up with the grace and mercy that He continues to show me daily!

That night I thanked Him for the love that He had shown me so many times, and I started to pray for the people that I passed on the street.

I prayed for the women in the bars who weren’t there by choice.

I prayed for chains to be broken and that hearts would be healed.

I prayed for the young people that I passed.

I prayed for the children that I saw in the alleyways.

I prayed for G*d to show up in this wonderful country and just move in a HUGE way!

Nothing huge happened that night but I found a new appreciation for praying for the place that I am at. To pray for the people that I come into contact with and just to cover the streets in the love that G*d has for them all!

As our team continues to do these prayer walks, if you could just pray for this wonderful country and just our time here!

Pray that the relationships that we build would be doorways to sharing the love of Chr*st and that we would continue to be a light wherever we go!

love,

Hanna

Thank you so much for all the prayer and support, I consider myself blessed to have such a strong support system at home!

I am just a mere $2,500 away from reaching FULLY FUNDED!! G*d has done some incredible things through this financial journey and I have learned to trust Him more and more along the way!

If you feel led to donate you can do so through the Support me tab on the left side, or in the status  bar along the top!

Thank you all so much and G*d bless!!
