Every night leading up to training camp I assumed the same position.. covers pulled up, my face lit up by my computer screen. Blog after blog I read trying to get just a hint of what training camp was going to be like. All were vague.. which was frustrating, and left EVERYTHING up to the imagination (man did that go crazy)!

No blog, or advice from others could have prepared me for all that training camp was.

This past week i was broken in ways I didn't know I could be. The Lord showed up and just reminded me that I am HIS daughter, and it doesn't matter where I have been or what I have done. I am a beloved daughter of Christ and through the breaking and the healing I have experienced a new deeper love for my Lord.

I met my wonderful squad family and instantly fell in love with every single on of them. Their hearts for the Lord and each other was so apparent and it was incredible.

Yes it is true you do spend every waking (and sleeping) moment with these people but I loved every minute of it. It was a week full of laughter, tears and random dance parties.

Through this week and a process of team building exercises and challenges we were split up into our immediate teams. These teams our 6-7 people that we will be doing ministry with each month I was so nervous to find out who my team was but I will say.. I couldn't be more happy with the one that I got!

So here is team eXuberant Joy:

Jenna Ehde, Hanna Taylor, Kait Backensto, Candace Robbins, Me, Samantha Kirby

I am so thankful and so honored that I get to do life and walk with each one of these women over the next 11 months. There will be challenges I am sure, but through that comes growth and I cannot wait to see swat the Lord has planned for us!

Note to future racers:

Training camp is a hard week, but it is incredible! You will be stretched and pulled in ways you didn't know you could go. Let go of every expectation and let God do the work in your life!

Fundraising Note

I have met my second goal which will keep me out on the field for at least 3 months! My third deadline is $11,000 by December which will insure that I am out there for 6 months. I would love to reach this goal before I leave in September!

I am about $8,750 away from being fully funded!
