“GO” Two simple letters with a huge meaning. Matthew 28:19 , a bible verse that I hold so close to my heart as I am beginning this journey explains “go” so simply. “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations…” It shouldn’t be as hard as it is to listen to God and go, but in reality it is one of the hardest things to do. first it starts of with the “what if” and the “I can’t”
what if I can’t raise the funds?
what if I get homesick?
what if something happens while I am gone for 9 months?
I can’t do this, God why me?
Then it is the…
“Hanna, your really going to go to 5 different countries and not come home for 9 months?”
or my personal favorite (I hear this one everyday)
person :”Hanna, do you realize that you won’t have WiFi!?!?”
me: “I am fully aware that I will not have WiFi at all times, but this is a mission trip, not a luxury resort with a spa and free WiFi”
In everything we do we still cling on to the “what if” and the “I cants”… even when God says “go”. Often times I have to close my eyes and open my heart and just trust in God and know that HE has me in the palm of his hand and he isn’t going to let me fall. So, if God is telling you to GO, listen to him. Trust in him. He’s got this.
