…Day 3 in the bars: Last night was our third night spending time with the women and my favorite night so far. When we got close to the bar, the girls noticed us from a far and started calling our names and smiling from ear to ear. They were just as excited to see us as we were to see them…Each night they order dinner in and they always share these new, exciting foods with us so last night we were able to bring them American cheesecake and our favorite Thai dish-mango sticky rice 🙂 This opened the night off especially well and the women really opened up with us and began to share about their families and their dreams for the future. One of the girls, Nah, who appears to be around 14 or 15 years old, said that she wants to be an orthodontist when she grows up. This made me realize so much about how God has such big things He wants to offer His little girls and God continued to give me a stronger love for these women..
.It is awesome to see how God has given each of us such a peace while we are in these bars spending time with these women, I feel as if they were my best friends already, they are so loving and precious to me already.. I cannot imagine just how much more God loves them.
Each night we leave around 11 because that is when things really start heating up in the bars... when 11 rolled around last night, it was so hard for us to leave. When we told the women we would not be back until Monday, it was easy to see that they were upset and wanted to see us sooner..one of the ladies gave us her phone number so that we could all meet up for lunch sometime this weekend which was so encouraging! All we have to do is spend time with these women and God is able to show His love through that. God is so awesome!! If these ladies are opening up to us this much in a matter of 3 nights, I cannot imagine where our relationships will be with them at the end of our time in 3 weeks..
