201 days. That’s how long I have been on The Race. 8 countries. That’s the number of countries I have spent time in.4 months is how many more months I have left on The Race. $1,000 and 14 days is how much money I have to raise and how much time I have to raise that money.
I may miss the comforts of home. I may miss some friends and family. I miss being able to sleep in my own bed. I miss being woken up by my dog every morning at 6:00 AM. I miss being able to understand everything that is being said around me. I miss being able to just walk around and not have people stare at me because I am foreigner. I miss driving. I miss hot showers with good water pressure. I miss being able to go off somewhere alone. I miss alone time. I may miss all of these things. The reality is though I’m not ready to go home.
Over the past 7 months I have met some amazing people! I have got to experience so many things! I have been able to go on so many adventures. Some of those planned others unplanned. My favorite thing I have got to do over the past 7 months is to share the love of God with people all around the world. God has given me the opportunities to share in African villages where I got to watch multiple people everyday give their lives to Christ! I have gotten to share about Jesus in all Muslim schools. I have watched God heal people right after I have finished praying for them. I have sat down with people who have never even heard the name of Jesus before. I have spent time in bars ministering to people. I have built relationships with those who are homeless just by spending time with them. I have sat with fishermen and kids by a river telling the story of Jesus feeding the 5,000. God has given me so many other opportunities and each and everyone one of those I am so grateful for.
If I don’t raise $1,000 by February 1st there is a strong possibility I will have to return back home. Like I have said before there are some things in America I miss, but those are just comforts. I don’t need them. I want to be able to continue on The Race for the next 4 months. I can’t do that without your help.
