This month in Malawi was absolutely incredible! My first week there I was missing Senegal and actually was wanting to be back in that country. However, things quickly changed.
The family my team was with, the Nkuna family, were absolutely amazing. They weren’t just hosts and we weren’t just visitors, we were family. The friends that were around became our friends. Bangwe became home!
In the last month I learned about serving tiers without complaining and what that really looks like. I learned about hospitality. I learned more about having joy in everything no matter the circumstances.
I’ve spent the last few days in Lilongwe, Malawi with the rest of the squad. My heart though had been back in Bangwe. Leaving Bangwe was like leaving home and leaving family. I truly miss all the friends and family there!
