Trust, it’s a hard thing. Some have walls built up so much because they have been let down over and over again, others only trust someone with part of their lives. Question: How much do you trust God?
God wants us to trust Him with every part of our life from relationships to finances to the plan He has for our whole life even the things that may seem small to us. The thing is we don’t like to trust Him with everything. We will give God parts of our life and say “Here God I will give you this part, but I’m hanging on to this part.” That’s not what God wants. He wants us to trust Him with everything!
I myself am guilty of only trusting God with parts of my life. I wanted to maintain some control because giving it all over to God would mean that He had total control and was I really ready for that. Just a few hours ago I realized I was lacking trust in the area of fundraising for The Race. I wanted to once again control this and then I remembered the last time I didn’t trust God on fundraising and tried to do it on my own. Let’s just say that month I had the least amount of money come in. Tonight I began praying for God to provide more finances for me. He said ” How much do you trust me?” I once again realized I needed to trust God in this knowing He would provide in His own time. 15 minutes later I had someone tell me they were going to be giving me 4 bags of change!
It’s hard to trust God with everything, but once you do just watch and see what He does in your life! It may not be what you wanted, but it will be what is best for you!
