I’ve been reading the book of Acts recently and one common thread keeps standing out to me: being BOLD and being FEARLESS. I don’t know if you realize this, but when you have the Holy Spirit living inside of you, nothing is impossible. Why should I be afraid to speak out in faith, what I believe. Peter, Paul, Barnabas and many of the disciples spoke BOLDLY and FEARLESSLY in the name of the Lord in spite of being thrown in jail, being stoned, persecuted and even martyred. No matter what they faced, they continued to pursue the Lord and what the Lord had for them and for that they were blessed.

I am learning more and more that I want to live my life like that. Like Paul in jail continuing to tell anyone who is willing to listen about a God that loves them so much and wants nothing more than for them to have this relationship with their creator. Paul was a cool dude, I’m still learning about him and his character, but another story that sticks out to me about Paul is when he was stoned and dragged out of the city because they thought he was dead, but the next day he got up and went BACK INTO THE CITY (Acts 14:19-20). I would say that’s crazy, but he knew that God was on his side and that even death couldn’t stop him from his calling. Paul is literally in chains in prison and says “I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have sufficient courage (boldness) so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether in life or by death. For me, to live is Christ and to die is gain” (Philippians 1:20-21).

I’m thankful for my teammate, Shrena, who is a lover of words and what they mean and how they’re used. I’m learning more about words, what they mean, how and when they are to be used, and for now these are what stick out to me and when I think God wants me to focus and meditate on. So here is a little picture of verses that talk about being bold or fearless that are good reminders of people who have done it before and encouragement that you can do it, not matter the cost.
