Let me tell you about God’s sense of humor and how Jesus provides. The other night all I wanted to eat was pancakes, we had them for breakfast a few days prior and they were amazing. I said to my teammate Bethany, “if Jesus is real, we will have pancakes for breakfast.” She then began to tell me “Jesus is real, why would you still be here?” Obviously I know and believe whole heartedly that Jesus is real, I just really wanted pancakes.
We woke up the next morning and guess what? We didn’t have pancakes… Which was ok because we had these fried banana things that are equally yummy. I found Bethany and jokingly said “I told you!” We went through the day, going to three different schools inviting kids to come to an event we put on at the local plaza. We got home before majority of the squad and the moment we entered the house a sweet aroma filled the air. Bethany and I looked at each other like what the heck is that?
One of the teams were having their team time in the kitchen. We walked in and guess what they were making… PANCAKES! Bethany looks at me and yells “SEE JESUS IS REAL!” The team also had set aside three cakes for people who they thought they should give them to. I told them my story and they said “then this is for you, we made extra for three special people and you are one of them!” They never planned on giving that to me specifically, but God has a sense of humor and Jesus provides.
