Hi Everyone!
This journey so far has been absolutely incredible, and it is so exciting to think about what is to come. Last week I went to training camp in White, GA. There I was able to meet my AMAZING squad, and was placed in a team with five of the most incredible and Godly women I have ever met. I am so excited to be serving alongside these gals and can’t wait to see how the Lord molds, shapes, breaks and challenges us throughout the year.
Training camp was such a neat experience. I have never been exposed to anything like it, and I mean in more ways than one. Physically, there were challenging parts, such as the food (minimal) and sleeping (minimal) situations, etc… etc… but all of that seems irrelevant for how we were being prepared for our year long journey with Jesus. This week was a real spiritual awakening for me, and I feel so confident in my walk with the Lord now, which is something that is very important if you want to help lead others to Him! I went into it very nervous, thinking I wasn’t Christ-like or good enough to be there. I was reserved and quiet, especially when it came to saying prayer outloud and worshiping confidently. By the end of the week I couldn’t get my hands high enough in the air to praise Him.
The first couple of days, a speaker came and had several sessions with us. They were inspiring, eye opening, and made me get more pumped about this year than I ever thought I could be. His name is Dr. Ron Walborn if anyone wants to check him out!
I have never seen such a close community of people, especially when they literally just met each other. These folks are genuine, selfless, loving, all around amazing Christians. The fact that I was ever nervous seems so silly. God showed up this week, God shows up daily, and God is definitely going to be showing up on the race and I can’t wait to see what He has in store.
Thanks to everyone for their support and for partnering with me on this INCREDIBLE journey!
