As a child of God you have a target on your back.. The enemy is daily shooting anything he can at you! We should treat our spiritual lives just like we would our fleshly lives.. If we were in a war and the enemy was running after us trying to take us out and shooting holes all through us trying to shoot the bullseye to completely take us out, we wouldn't just give up and throw our hands up and say oh well.. No! We would keep running towards safety! If we lost an arm we would keep running… If we lost the other arm we would still keep running.. If we lost our arms and one leg we would hop as fast as we could.. If we lost all of our limbs we would be on the ground scooting as fast as we could to safety! We would do absolutely anything we could to keep moving towards safety.
We should treat our spiritual lives just the same but we so easily allow the enemy to defeat us and we get discouraged and throw our hands up. Instead of running to Jesus no matter how bad we are wounded we run to so many other things and are so quick to run to each other.
We are ALL in a war zone!!! It's so vital that we surround ourselves with other brothers and sisters that are on the same mission as we are…that our number one goal is to love The Lord with all of our heart soul and mind and second to love our neighbor as ourselves and spreading the gospel!
It's kind of ironic how we can hear a song 1 time and know every word of it by the next time it comes on the radio and then not hear it for years but when it pops back up somehow we still know every word…but when it comes to the word of God we can hear it time and time again but if we had to stand and quote over 100 words in order out of scripture like we do with the songs we sing.. Most of us couldn't do it.
It's so important that we take a stand and really press into the things that matter. We as believers are RESPONSIBLE for all of the lost people around us. We are brought in contact with people every single day that don't know The Lord and we aren't doing anything about it.
Back to the" We are all in a war zone"…
If your child or any family member or friend for that matter were down on the ground and the enemy was devouring them… Any one of us would jump in and do all we could to help save them. Why is it that we walk by people every single day that we KNOW the enemy has a hold on and we do NOTHING. Brothers and sisters it is time to WAKE UP!
If we are going to call ourselves Christians then it's time we start doing what Christians are called to do. It's time to let the fear of man and what someone might think about you to be thrown down the drain! If someone had your child or family member captive you wouldn't care what anyone thought of you, you'd fight for them until there was victory.
It's time for us to start fighting like we are in a war zone because we are. We were all created In the image of Christ. We are all brothers and sisters with God as our dad! He has never once given up on a single one of us and has fought for us all in ways we have seen and even more in ways we haven't seen. He died for us all and we are called to LOVE each other as He loves us! We should be willing to go to the extremes to save our lost brothers and sisters, even if it means death.
Start surrounding yourself with people on the same mission as you! It's time to jump out on the battle field!
