HE called me OUT
As I sit here at Fuge camp, ten years later as a leader, I am reminded of so many things! Coming into camp as a leader it never hit me until I got here that this is exactly where I was called to missions. In all of the business and craziness of getting from training camp to church camp I never even thought about it.
As I walked into the auditorium to register our kids I sat down and was listening to the instructions from camp directors… As I was sitting there God spoke to me and said this is the exact place and exact seat that I called you out ten years ago.
There I sat with tears in my eyes thinking over the past ten years of life. It was so awesome and such a sweet moment between God and I. How cool to think of all the places I could be, that He would have me here… right before I’m about to embark on a year long journey of missions… and this is the place He called me out….
This week I have been reminded of what it truly means to BE REAL, BE BOLD, BE HIS and to BE LAST…
SO many times we aren’t real with our brothers and sisters in Christ out of fear of rejection and judgement. We as brothers and sisters should extend so much grace to one another that when we do fall short that we automatically run to another brother or sister to help us back up. We are called to love as He loves. It’s time for us to step up and walk in REAL LOVE and to truly LOVE as HE LOVES.
We also should stand up and be BOLD. We have been given all power and authority in Christ and so many times we don’t walk in it at all. Every 5 seconds 34 ppl die and go to hell… WE ARE NOT WALKING IN THE FULLNESS OF OUR POWER AND AUTHORITY THAT THE LORD HAS GIVEN US… we pass by people everyday in stores, our work places and even our own homes that are lost.. we will go all over the world but we won’t walk across the living room to a lost family member… it’s time for us to stop sitting on our hands and get up and BE BOLD.
BE HIS… we should be HIS in ALL that we do. Every moment of life and everything we allow ourselves to be part of should be totally revolved around Him… the way way talk, what we watch, the music we listen to, the way we eat, what we do with our free time, everything should be centered on HIM. Being totally His is hard sometimes but it’s totally worth it. We are called to be HIS and be like HIM all the time.. not just part time. He didn’t die for us part time so we can’t live for him part time.. IT’S FULL TIME!
BE LAST… being last a lot of the times is something we aren’t very good at. We live in a society where everything is super fast paced and we have anything we want at the tip of our fingers. Without even realizing it we so many times put ourselves above others… being last can sometimes mean doing things you don’t want to do but it is benefiting another brother or sister, or simply letting everyone else go before you.. dying to self and selfish desires to prefer other brothers and sisters above yourself. TO BE LIKE CHRIST!!
This week I am reminded that we are so loved and so cherished by our Heavenly Father…
It's time to step out into the unknown and trust Him fully where He leads!
