Missions…Why go?

 

You're thinking to yourself, " why go?" 

My question to you: why not go?

After all, the moment we become a child of God we all become missionaries. Isn't that out purpose, to know Him and make Him known?! To bring Him glory, to bring lost brother and sisters to Him, to be his hands and feet, to love as He loves us… Yes, we are called to do all of these things and amplify Christ. Wether it be in your workplace, across the world, or across the hallway in your own home; we are all called. In Matthew 28:19-20 God tells us to " Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you."

Where has Jesus called you to be?

If you are alive and breathing you have purpose and God has a plan for your life. God created you in His image to fulfill a purpose that only you can fulfill.

Seek God, ask Him to reveal His purpose for your life, OWN IT, LIVE IT!

God has given us these two great commandments:

-To love the Lord our God with all our hearts,minds,souls,and strength. (Deuteronomy 6:5)

– Love your neighbor as yourself. ( Luke 10:27)

 

Above all else we are to love the Lord with all of our being, and next to love our neighbor as ourself.

Loving our neighbor as ourselves doesn't mean just the kid next door or the old lady down the street. Our neighbors are the homeless, the broken, the lost, and people all around the world. We are called to love as Jesus loves us and to be His hands and feet.

It is time for us to stop sitting on the sidelines and to get up and get out on the field. The church has become so watered down and it is time to WAKE UP CHURCH. It is time to step out of our comfort zones, answer the call and GO!

 

The time is now. It's time to reach beyond the walls of the church: to go preach the good news to the poor, broken hearted, and provide freedom to those held captive in sins and lies of the enemy..

"The spirit of the Lord is on me, because He has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor." (Luke 4:18-19)

 

So….why go? 

I'm going because I have been called for such a time as this. I have been called to go. So, I GO…
