How beautiful is the image of marriage? Our Father creating someone to compliment you in little ways that you didnt realize were possible. How beautiful is it to picture leading a God centered relationship… furthering His kingdom together. Its something that literally leaves me at a loss of words. But how often do marriages fail today? Close to always .. from selfish earthly desires hearts turn on eachother. I want to see renewal in Christian relationships and while often the blame is handed to the men in relationships God says we (women) are equals in the gift of new life so we can’t begin to say that we aren’t at fault.
Women.
We need to remember to continue to grow in Christ and prepare our hearts rather than sitting waiting for some man to walk through the doors and complete us. Do you not realize that already has happened? We were complete the day he died on the cross. We are given the opportunity to feel the strongest love possible through him.
Somehow forgetting our morals and compromise standards has become easy to do in the face of Love. What are we doing? In the past I have been fully guilty of this and looking back it breaks my heart knowing that God was pleading with me from heaven asking me to stop looking for comfort in the embrace of earthly relationships. To those of you reading I have no idea where you are with your relationship but I plead and beg you to first fall in love with your Creator. Put him first and learn what his image of Love is before you stain it with the earthly image that has been created and poured over us.
We need to remember we are the creation of our Father… he made us to be with a man. One man. Not in front of him dragging him forward. Not behind him commanding him to prepare a paths for us. But beside him.
-Proverbs 12:4 “A worthy wife is a crown for her husband, but a disgraceful woman
is like cancer in his bones”
Don’t rush a relationship before you have gotten to know your own heart. Be patient so that when you find him you will be ready. Perfected and strengthened in the words and wisdom of our Father.
Proverbs 31:10-11 says “Who can find a virtuous and capable wife?
She is more precious than rubies. Her husband can
trust her, she will greatly enrich his life.”
Proverbs 31:25 “She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without
fear of the future”
As much as we entertain the image of falling madly in love with some beautiful man lets change our thoughts and entertain the image of falling in love with our creator and furthering his kingdom. Then if he decides to bless us with someone to venture with us we can be thankful knowing it was truly his works and a blessing… not our own earthly desires pulling something together.
