These past couple of months I've had a lot of obstacles I've needed to jump through. I was called home from Teen Mania in TX to finish up high school. I went back to Agape Christian School for Girls and in 2 months time I finished all my studies. I successfully graduated in May with my high school diploma. I remember having a conversation with my friend Shekinah while at Teen Mania about the World Race, but didn't really think it was for me. This past summer I had an opportunity to work at Lake Geneva Youth Camp, while there I asked God what's next?
I ended up applying for the World Race January Route 4 and to my surprise got accepted, but the Lord had different plans. After wrestling with God, he finally told me to change routes from January Route 4 to July Route 4. I was disappointed at the time because my friend was going on the January route and I wasn't. In time, I found a huge peace about going in July. I am excited to experience different countries and find where I'll be used by God.
Here are a few more details about what I'm doing and who I'm going with. I will serve as a missionary through the organization Adventures in Missions through there World Race program. The World Race is an 11 month Christian missions trip to 11 different countries around the world. I personally will be traveling to Romania, Ukraine, India, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, and Ireland. On the World Race, my team and I will serve in partnership with churches and ministries in local communities to preach the gospel, work in orphanages, minister to women and children who are trapped in prostitution as a result of human trafficking, and bring restoration and hope of the Father's love to many tribes and nations. I also plan to invest in the communities I visit getting to know individual people and learning from their varying and diverse lives.
In order to make this trip happen I need to raise $15,500. If 25 people pledge $50/month for 12 months, I would be fully funded for my trip. If you are able and willing to give financially, support can be given as a one time gift or monthly gift, wherein you choose the amount and beginning and end date. The $15,500 does not include airfare to training camp, airfare to launch, travelers insurance, personal items, and basic necessities.
I also am in need of serious prayer for God to be glorified, and for the safety and health of myself and my teammates.
I myself will be saving up as much as I can through babysitting and other fundraisers.
