W squad has 10 God fearing men. We are all unique I’m every since of the word. Many of us are recent graduates, some hold no degree. We are southern baptist, Methodists, and nondenominational. We enjoy sports, writing, as well as hunting. We are in this race together, and I hope these men will be at my wedding, and at my deathbed. They will always be in my memories as well as my prayers.
We are all encouraged, groomed, and challenged by our loving coach Phil Rouchard. Phil is a man who has shared many of our triumphs and failures as men. His mother led him to The Lord before the passed and now he is giving his life for God’s kingdom. Phil is a man who leads by example and is constantly investing and exhorting his bride and children. Phil is taught and corrected by The Lord which makes him qualified to teach and correct us.
Phil is a man who pursues us from thousands of miles away, and he also takes time out of his life to commune with us in the field every few months.
Phil prays for us each day and goes out of his way to attend to any personal matters that crop up on the field. He is on the front lines of our spiritual battle and has devoted his life to the men of W squad. He has opened up his home to receive letters and supplies for those on the field.
He isn’t our coach for the money or the recognition. He gives what he has out of an abundance from The Lord. He holds back the waters and guides us to higher ground because he spends hours in an intimate, passionate communion with the Father. He raises up sons of Christ because he allows The Lord to father him.
I hope to lead a family with the joy and swagger that Phil does. He’s never hesitant to remind us that he married the most beautiful woman in the world. So to my the second most beautiful woman in the world, the woman I will surely make my wife, I hope you have the privilege of meeting Phil. He tells it like it is and says the things that need to be said all while keeping everyone laughing and engaged. His presence would be felt in grand central station, and his delivery makes hallmark card authors envious. His grin expresses everything that a Godly man is. Confident not in his own abilities, in the immeasurable strength that lies within him. The strength to boast in his weakness and trust the God who guides his steps.

I am still in need of $1,930 for this race to be fully funded. I have been blown away from the enormous amount of generosity pouring in from friends and family all over the country.
