Approximately 4:30am September 10th my squad woke from a groggy slumber, finished packing and went down to the lobby..

By 5am we grabbed shuttles to the ATL airport.. Our flight left approximately 9:45 giving us a touchdown in Guatemala City at 1:03 local time

The first few hours on the bus went rather smoothly as the pastel colors and hustle n bustle traffic reminded me of my first few hours in brazil..

Our first Guatemalan meal was a delectable lunch consisting of soup, steak, tortillas and rice (maybe this wont be so bad after all). We then made our way into the mountains and things got interesting..

A mud slide that resulted from a sink hole in the middle of the highway sent a truck off the road.. For hours we waited for the search and rescue crew to attend to the fallen vehicle. It just so happened that our busses stopped outside a church. Some members of the squad including myself went into the service while others went a mile or so up to the crash site to pray for the workers and fallen vehicle. In that service many people were on their knees worshiping God, the atmosphere was so spirit fed it led many members of my squad to tears. On stage was a woman singing words of praise, encouragement, and truth about the wonders of our Lord.

“Trust The Lord with your finances, trust The Lord with your family, trust The Lord with your life”. (My Spanish was very rusty and since has gotten better but her face communicated his presence better than many pastors in the states.

I knew God worked intentionally but from day one in Guatemala I was amazed at how he ties together the little things to bring glory to his people.
