WHAT A GREAT GOD!!!
Today has been such a great day, allow me the honor and privilege to boast in my Lord and Savior.  People through my church were planning a bike and hike today to help raise support for the WR and not many people showed up but that is the glory of it all…  Only three of us came to do the biking part and we had such great conversations all the way while driving to the trail which was about an hour away or so.  Once we got to the trail, we had anticipated rain as the forecast had been predicting all week and instead of rain we got sweet sunny`shine and a little breezy.  On our way back to the truck, one of the guys got a phone call and it was another guy at the church who was going to meet us for the hiking part later in the day but he had a little accident in which oil was spilling all out of his car.  Since there were only the three of us and we had pretty much finished the biking trail, we called it a day and headed back to meet our friend.
On the way back we stopped at a small restaurant called “Joys Home Cooking” and it was southern food served buffet style for a little price of $6 (it was definitely worth $10, the food was that good).  Shortly afterward we arrived at the church to find a couple of our friends with the broken down car.  Fortunately  one of the guys who was on the bike trip and knew about cars and so we jacked up the car and got a good look at what the problem was.  The problem was that something had punctured the oil pan and there was no oil left in the car.  So the 2 of them took off to go to a junk yard to try and find a oil pan for my friends car.  I decided to take off as well and head back home…(this is where God shows up even more)
On my way back from the church which is only a 5 min drive if that, an older lady off the side of the road asked me to stop and drive her as far as I could, I was a bit reluctant but felt sure the Spirit was leading me to let her in.  While heading back to my house I was asking her questions of what was wrong and what she needed help with.  She and her grandchild was kicked out of her house and was in need of money but wasn’t finding anyone to give her any.  Well, usually I don’t carry cash with me but this day I was.  She was asking for $23.  I felt  compelled to help and so asked her where we needed to go to deliver the money, as I was driving to the place she stopped in mid sentence to say that she had lied…My heart and mind were racing at this point then, what was she going to say next…my imagination took over.  She said that she needed $53 but didn’t want to ask for that much because that was too much for anyone to give her.
(Like I said this is where God showed up even more)  I had spend some money for a coffee earlier in the morning and then again for lunch, but while we were on our hike my friend was going to donate $10 but felt compelled to give me $20.  That $20 on top of the money I had left over was about $56 dollars or so, it was more than enough to pay her landlord for her and her grandson to stay in the house, and then some.  The thing is, the lady at first lied and said she needed $23 when she really needed more, but then she apologized and said she really needed $53 and that I didn’t need to help her any more that she was just thankful for a friend to listen to her and a ride in a car.
The thing with God is, He does not just stop with half way.  When He promises to provide for us, He promises to provide not just half way and then wish us the best, He promises to provide 100% and that is what He did for Ms. Mary and her grandson.  Whats even cooler is that while we were driving to pay the rent, she saw a friend walking on the side of the road and he was out on the streets and she said that if she was able to pay her landlord that day that she would allow him to stay with her.  God’s blessings don’t just end with one person, they are passed on and passed on.  Blessings are meant to be received and then passed on.  I have been blessed over and over again by my friends and family, I can’t just sit back and hog the blessings, it must be passed on.  Be encouraged to continue God’s blessings and to remember His promises.  I know I have!!!
