The Lord has really blessed me this past year, and yet there are so many days I forget to thank Him. There are so many days that I feel like I ignore Him. But the most beautiful thing is that He still calls me His beloved. He loves me so much that He has allowed me to go back overseas again with the World Race in September.
However, this time I will only be gone for 5 months as I lead a group of about 50 Racers between the ages of 21 and 35 around the world as their official Squad Leader. Yeah, I will have logistical and administrative responsibilities when it comes to money, ministry sites, traveling, etc, but that’s not my main role.
My main role is to love my new family of 50. To love them by serving them. To serve them by humbling myself beneath them so to lift them up. To lift them up so that they may hear the voice of God say, “You are my children with whom I am well pleased! My son, my daughter, welcome home.”
To hear that voice so that they may be free to fall more in love with Jesus. And may they fall more in love with Him simply to fall more in love with Him. There is no “catch” when falling in love with Jesus. Just truth, and this truth will propel my new family around the world as they bring the Kingdom of Heaven to Earth.
By all means, this truth is dangerous. My new family will come back from the Race so radically different, so bold and audacious, yet so humble and sincere.
I am so blessed to get to lead such an amazing group of followers of Christ who have decided that saying “Yes” to God, even when everyone around them screams “No”, is the most important thing they can do in their life.
So I have been blessed to lead a Squad of 50 or more around the World come September. I am not sure where I am going yet, but I will let all of you know as soon as I know. Nonetheless, I need to raise support to go again. I need about 1,500 more dollars to be fully funded for the entire 5 months.
