Here is a typical day in Nepal for my team!

7:00 AM
Wake up to the sound of the river rushing through the mountain a good 30 yards away

7:10-8:00 AM
Alone time with God through reading the Bible and other books, journaling, prayer, and listening

8:00-9:00 AM
Tea time with the team along with team prayer to set the vision for the day

9:00-10:30 AM
Breakfast along with preparation for the day (basically the same as dinner which is described below)

10:30 AM-3:00ish PM
We do our ministry which usually consists of an awesome, beautiful, and intense hike up a Himalaya
mountain to a small village to pray over people, encourage believers, love on and talk to non-believers,
and then pray REALLY REALLY LOUD on top of the mountain over the village in order combat the
spiritual forces of evil
(It’s legit, got some awesome stories coming your way!)

Our team on a mountain praying over a village

3:00ish PM
SNACK TIME!!!  Basically it’s a really small lunch that is back at our ministry contacts
home.  Usually consists of two Nepali “donuts”, or a bowl of fried rice, or a bowl of noodles, or potatoes
and chipati.  You get the idea, it’s one dish of something.

3:00ish-5:00 PM
FREE TIME!!!  This is when we MIGHT shower after sweating so much from climbing
mountains, we MIGHT do laundry, or we MIGHT just chill in our filth.  We also hang out with
Samuel who is 21 (he is our awesome translator), Munna and Nanyuma who live above us (They laugh at
me as they attempt to teach me Nepali), and anyone else around .  ALSO, we take more alone time with
God or take a nap; some form of resting!
(Those mountains WEAR US OUT!)

5:00-6:00 PM
Team Time.  During team time our team discusses the highs, and if any, the lows of the day.
We do this in order to become better unified as a team so that we may go out with the same heart and
mouth to better glorify God (Romans 15:5-6).  We then move into feedback, which consists of both
positive and constructive for each individual.  Basically, if you do something that exemplified the
kingdom during the day a fellow teammate will acknowledge your Christ like behavior in a way that
encourages you to continue to do so.  Constructive is when a teammate points out, in a loving way, a
situation in which you did not exemplify the kingdom of God.  We do this so that we may learn from our
mistakes and grow as men and women of God. We attempt to let no situation, good or bad, go unheard
before the day is over.  We then close out with some awesome listening prayer and discuss it!

6:00-7:00 PM
More free time!!

7:00-8:00 PM
Dinner, YUM!  Consists of rice with a type of sauce, either Chicken or Potatoes with onion
and cabbage, a delicious chip tortilla type thing, a DELICIOUS salsa they call Pickle, and some cucumbers.
It’s really good! (We also have this for breakfast)

8:00- whenever we go to bed
We hang out as a team by playing HILARIOUS games or watching movies with Samuel, get more alone
time with God, type blogs (such as this one), discuss with one another what God is putting on our heart,
etc.  More or less, it’s free time.  We then pray over our sleeping areas and hit the bed so we are
energized to glorify God for another day!

24/7
What I do all day, every day, is attempt to constantly be in the presence of God.  Always thanking Him
for the smallest of small things, asking for help in the smallest of small tasks, asking for forgiveness
immediately once I mess up, praising and worshiping Him every time I think of Him (which is a TON!!!),
and so on.  I seriously just talk to Him like He is standing right next to me for I believe He is MUCH closer
to us than a lot of us believe Him to be.  My prayers and conversations aren’t long or poetic, just simple
because I don’t feel the need to impress my Dad.  He is legitimately the one I desire to hang out with
more than anyone else! I am learning how to dwell in the presence of the Lord 24/7, and it gives me the
utmost joy, hope, faith, and love!
