This past week I just experienced an earth shattering event in my life- World Race Training Camp. I finally got to meet my F squad (hence the title), but needless to say it was God who shattered my world. We all know how God identifies Himself as ‘I AM WHO I AM” to Moses via a burning bush in the book of Exodus. All through out training camp God rocked my world, my life, and my spirit with this short beautiful phrase. I have to admit, I came into training camp thinking I knew a bunch of stuff about God, manhood, and other categories after taking Hebrew and Greek Scripture classes in college along with experiencing a bunch of ministry opportunities in Johnson City and Memphis. I wasn’t cocky or anything, just confident in my knowledge. Well…God did it again; but this time He didn’t just expand the box in which I understood Him, no, this time He completely destroyed it- there is no more box. Hahaha, and this is the greatest thing ever! I came into, experienced, and left training camp with the following thoughts being answered in such a joyous way!
Who will be able to teach me something new? “I AM”
Who’s going to give me the confidence to leave for the year? “I AM”
Who will provide hope where no hope can be found? "I AM"
Who is giving these speakers and leaders the authority to wreak my life? “I AM”
Who’s going to break these chains around my heart? “I AM”
Who’s making me cry in front of these strangers! “I AM”
Who will give me the strength to confront my team after I deceived them “I AM”
Who's going to catch me when I fall "I AM"
HAHA, who is embracing me?!?! “I AM”
Who is making me fall madly in love with these strangers! “I AM”
Who is making my entire body tingle as my mourning turns into undignified
laughter and joy?! “I AM”
Who is this comforting me in my weakness! “I AM”
Who is this making my weakness strength! “I AM”
Who is raising these dry bones? "I AM"
Ha! Who is healing this deaf man’s ears in front of my face?! “I AM”
Who has just made the world my playground? “I AM”
Who has just made me this man of God?! “I AM”
Who is blessing me with all of this joy! “I AM”
Who is making me dance uncontrollably?! “I AM”
Who is filling my heart with this wonderful desire to protect my sisters in Christ
from spiritual, emotional, and physical harm? “I AM”
I really am your son and you’re my Dad “I AM”
I AM the first and the last, the begging and the end,
the King of kings, and the Lord of lords,
and you are MINE!
