Sunday December 13th 2009. Three weeks exactly till we leave… wow. So the past 2-3 weeks has been like none other. Its hard to explain and sounds nuts but ill try. Things happened in my life that can only be explained by God. That is kind of a blanket statement so I will do my best to expand.
I finally decided to stop worrying about the trip and fund raising and just be joyous at the oppurtunity and just trust in God to provide. Now I have said I was going to do this before but for some reason the words came out but only half the effort went in. So after some things happened this past few weeks obviously things have changed. My fund raiser went off incredibly. Received nearly $500 total in money and supplies. But it was also how it came together was the story. It wasn’t supposed to happen even! It was only until the day before that I found out where the food and drinks were coming from (they were donated by Starbucks and a local café). And best of all an impact was made that night on a number of lives and people keep talking to me about it in the days proceeding. It was simply amazing and couldn’t’ have been done without help but really… God made it happen – is the only explanation as to how it went.
So here is a list of supplies I still need (and if you look at the last one you’ll see almost all of them taken care of! You guys are awesome!)

….. that’s it! That is all the supplies I need then I am ready to launch!
Now here is the better news. The organization I am giong with (adventures.org) is working with me a bit on my fund raising. They know my story is a peculiar one and they want to make sure I am on this trip.
Although the total amount for the trip costs $13,800 we have to raise only 60% to actually leave. They have lowered this amount for me to $4,000 by the time we leave. This means a few things. #1) my goal stays the same and I am shooting for all of it before I go. #2) this makes things a little easier because I know that with your help we can get this $3,000 left I need to go! #3) they are making a sacrifice for me in hopes to watch me fall in Love with Christ through this journey. There are so many people praying for me and wishing me well its incomprehendable! I am so stoked to see God move in amazing ways over the next 3 weeks as well as all 11 months!
So guys here is where I need your help. Tell your friends, tell your family, tell your church that there is a young man who is leaving. And this guy is set on following Christ and being broken and restored while doing it. And he needs support! He needs financial donations. A one time gift or even a monthly basis donation would be incredible! Guys I know we can get this. And you all get to play an incredible part in this. You may not be in the mission field overseas but you are playing an instrumental part here at home by sharing Gods Word and where His Kingdom is moving at.
