I just finished packing. Today is my last day of ministry on the World Race: Gap Year.

It’s gonna be difficult saying goodbye to all my Bethel friends. And then next week it’s gonna be difficult saying goodbye to the squad.

I am so excited to be home so soon. I can’t wait to see my family and friends, sleep in my own bed, not have to rely solely on wifi to communicate, eat the food I’ve been missing and all kinds of stuff.

But it’s not going to be an easy transition. Please give me some grace as I process and adjust.

This has been 9 months of my life. And I want to share it with you. I want to share it well, but I don’t know where to even start. So much has happened. Of course I have pictures and videos and stories I’ll be sharing. But if you’re gonna ask me about this trip, it would be so helpful to me if you have some specific questions. If you only ask me how the trip was, I could honestly answer in so many different ways, because this 9 months has been all over the place in so many ways.

P.S. I just want to let you know I’ll be taking a break from blogging and picture sharing and such during debrief and when I first get home. I need some time to rest and process. But don’t worry I will write blogs about my time in Nicaragua after this break.
And when I get home I’m gonna take 2 weeks to rest, spend time with close family and friends, and get back into the swing of things. For the summer, I’ll be doing an AmeriCorps program, which will allow me to work at Arts in Action. Then I’ll go to Marshall in the fall. I want to double major in social work and organizational communications and continue to be a part of awesome work. Also I feel called to support the people, places, and organizations I’ve been able to be a part of while on the Race when I go home, but I’ll share more about that later.

Thanks for all the awesomeness and support.
Much love!
