…singing praise and worship for an hour with some of my squadmates in the middle of the train station courtyard

…a 34 hour train ride

…a day that included McDonald's, Starbucks, AND Pizza Hut (say WHAT?!)

…on that note, really appreciating that Chinese American food actually tastes like American food (flashback to nasty Indian McDonald's)

…chicken feet for sale everywhere

…trying said chicken feet with my teammates

…said chicken feet not being so bad

…traffic that makes sense! yay for 1 month on the Race where i didn't fear for my life everytime i got into a car

…getting to celebrate my best friend Marie's birthday for 3 days– dinner, pedicures, picnic lunch, presents, and breakfast in bed all included!

…homeschooling three precious kiddos

…getting to work with a guy who uses a code name (so cool)

…living with our contact's family and being truly blessed by it

…being approached on the street for pictures and having strangers tell you that you're beautiful (I could get used to this)

…not being able to tell people exactly what we're doing here (again, so cool)

…having the internet tell you "you are doing wrong things…" when trying to access facebook

…beautiful Tibetan people

…monks everywhere (we lived incredibly close to a buddhist monastery of home to more than 2,000 monks and nuns)

…living at 9,000 feet (heLLO altitude!)

…surrounded by beautiful mountains

…trips to the monastery

…a beautiful drive to a school full of adorable tibetan children

..the best green beans & fried rice ever

…8 treasure tea

…having to leave our town a few days early because of some not-so-good happenings (can't share the details here)

…learning a huge lesson on how to go to the Lord alone for comfort

…visiting the Forbidden City (a fortress-type area that was only for emperors and his chosen people for hundreds of years)

…shopping at the silk market

…real pearls for $1.00

…dance party with my squad on THE GREAT WALL OF CHINA!!!

…seeing Chinese and Tibetan people more and more through the eyes of Christ
