When I began the support raising process, I will admit, I was hopeful but nervous. The roller coaster of emotions have run ragged since then but God has shown up in amazing ways during this whole process. There have been days where I literally feel like I could spend the day flat on my face praising Him. To be honest, there have also been days where I have lost focus on Him in this support raising journey. It took an unexpected source to remind that it is about involving people in ministry.

We have a preschool in the church where I work. I have the privilege of teaching chapel every other week for this ministry. One of the 4 year old classes collects change every month for the church’s loose coin offering. It seems simple doesn’t it, but these teachers do not just have their kids collect coins but they also teach their class about what it means to give back and care for others. This is just one of the ways they teach their children about loving others. For the rest of the school year the loose coin jar is now the “Ginny Jar” and each month they hope to raise $10 to support my trip. Out of all the generous givers, this has been one of the most meaningful gifts. God wants to include all people in his mission and I am so thankful for what these precious 4 year olds are teaching me.
