JoY! Immense joy! And sharing that joy with kids on Christmas morning was a great gift. Team Lionheart planned and put on a children’s program for the local families in Volcan Christmas morning.

What did we do? We celebrated Jesus’ birthday starting with the Christmas Story. Three stations of games and crafts highlighted a few of Jesus’ miracles during his life on earth (one of my best friends always asks to recount a few highlights from the year one birthdays).

Zeb, on their level, playing a version of Marco Polo.

Then we had a fish hunt (to find multicolored paper fish after reading about feeding the 5,000). A hot dog lunch had stomachs full and ready to hear the Gospel story as we used the colored fish they found to tell the “wordless book” Gospel presentation (white, black, red, yellow, green). We finished with birthday cake, presents and piñatas. It was a Christmas to remember.

Kiddos made crowns as party hats when they arrived.

Family we met two weeks earlier and then they came on Christmas day!
