I LOVE to
laugh. … And I laugh really loud.
When I’m
really tired, I get a little giddy. OK, a lot giddy.
I have no
sense of smell.
I thrive on
sunshine and blue skies.
I used to
hate coffee… now, I love it. I’m not sure how I’m going to begin easing off the
caffeine addiction for the Race…
I grew up on
a ranch in South Florida (yepper, there ARE farms in Florida!)
My friend has
a saying, “life is a musical” and I agree. I like to break out in song.
Broadways, oldies and Disney are my favs.
I like to
bake – and my Disgustingly Rich Brownies have quite a reputation. 🙂
You will rarely
find me without a camera.
The Basics
I love
my family! Mom and Dad, my two older brothers and I grew up on a ranch in South
Florida. They are all involved in the dairy industry.
Both of
my brothers are married (I have incredible sisters-in-law – I’m blessed!) and a
total of five nieces and nephews.
Nitty Gritty
Undergrad:
University of Florida (Go Gators!)
I studied two fields at UF – Agriculture Communications and Photojournalism, then
a minor in International Agriculture.
Grad school:
Penn State
Dual
title program: Agricultural and Extension Education and Comparative and
International Education.
At the beginning of grad school I wanted to create international
programs for agricultural students. Then I went to Myanmar with my church, Calvary,
in State College,PA. There and during subsequent trips, God started developing my
heart for orphans… and reminding me of the gifts of photography and writing He
had deposited in me.
Currently:
Communications Director at Calvary. (promo plans, PowerPoint, etc)
In a few
months… traveling the world with God and an awesome team that will become my
family
