This month my team
and I are in India and we have the opportunity to do something no other World
Race team has done before, we are going to be planting a church in the small
village of Pulivaripalem in Andhra Pradesh, India. For two weeks we will be
living on our own and making our own schedule in the village. Our ultimate goal
is to spread the gospel among the villagers in hopes of bringing a number of
people to Christ, baptize those who are ready to commit their lives to Christ,
find a plot of land, and finally build a temporary church structure. We will be
in charge of planning and doing all of these things, we won’t have someone
guiding us we will be heading this up all on our own.
On top of this our living conditions are going to be a
little rough. We will have a house of our own, but it is the size of a small
shack, and since we are a team of 11 this month there will be no room for us in
the house, so we are going to be locking our valuables inside and sleeping in
our tents outside. In order to bathe and do laundry we will have to pump and
haul our water from a well in the village. Our toilet will be a field, which
everyone in the village uses to relieve themselves.
Life this month is going to be little rough and challenging, but it
will be a great experience for us all and I am sure we will see God move in
amazing ways.
