Ok everyone so here I am pouring out my heart and soul to you. I have now been on the World Race for 4 months and God has completely rocked my world, he has changed me in ways I didn’t even know were possible. Through this amazing journey God has showed me, with the help of my teammates, how I can walk in complete and total freedom. He has also given me the privilege to come alongside several other people that I have met around the world as they do the same.

Just today my teammate, Tiffany, and I were able to pray over a woman name Judy who lives in the slums of Nairobi, Kenya. She has spent most of her life being held down by drug and alcohol addictions. Let me tell you the story of how we came to meet her…
Tiffany and I were walking through the streets of this slum with our friend Phillip going door-to-door talking to whoever would give us their time. We talked with several different people and had some good short conversations with them about Jesus. There was even one couple that we were able to sit down and talk with for a while and then pray with. They both were living without jobs and in need to pay their bills, they asked us to pray about this and that God would give them guidance. After prayer Tiffany and I were able to leave there with our hearts uplifted, because the presence of God was very much alive in that place and we knew that God was molding and changing both of them.

After a couple of more house visits we turned down a different street that we had not walked down yet. As soon as we began walking down there I was full of great fear as Phillip began to explain to us that this place is full of evil. Almost immediately Judy ran up to us and introduced herself she was very excited and very outgoing, but because I was full of so much fear I didn’t take the time to talk with or even really look at her. We continued walking down the street and Phillip told us to walk fast because we had several addicts following us and wanting to touch us. After stepping away from that street I turned around to see Judy still following us, but not really saying much of anything. So she followed us all the way back to the church where they have a daily prayer from 12-1p. As we prayed as a group and a congregation Judy sat near the front against the wall and she seemed to be full of some excitement. After our prayer service Pastor Joseph told Tiffany and I to talk with and pray with her.

So the three of us sat down and Judy was able to share a small part of her life with us through the little English that she knew. Judy explained to Tiffany and I that she had once dedicated her life to Christ several years ago, but her life was still very much consumed with drugs and alcohol. She told us that she wanted to make a change because “God is good” and she wanted to rededicate her life to him. So Tiffany and I prayed over her and tears of joy and happiness flowed down her face as Judy was taking this amazing leap towards God.

It is only the very beginning of our month and already God has brought Judy to us and we will continue to go back and see her several times a week while we are here.
It is because of all the amazing support you have given me that things like this are able to happen.
This was only our first day out in the slums and God also brought the couple that we were able to pray with earlier in the day to our prayer group and the rest of our team was able to pray for their salvation and healing while we sat with Judy.
God is doing such amazing things here.

As I am sure many of you know I am still in need of raising $3,600 so that I am able to finish the World Race and I am hoping and praying that you will help to make this possible. I can promise you that much good is happening through your donations and that God will continue to bless every dollar you donate. Please, please help me to finish the World Race. I am just so truly excited that not only am I now walking in this amazing freedom with Christ, but that God has also given me the opportunity to come alongside several others as they do the same.
