Here's a copy of my support letter! Coming to you soon by snail mail… 🙂

Dear friends and family,

There are a few things I need to tell you. First that God is awesome, and following Him with my life is the greatest thing I have ever done. God has pushed me, blessed me, broken me, healed me, filled me, emptied me, and, through all of it, He has used me. Secondly, God has an amazing plan for us! Over the course of my life I have tried doing things my way and it never works, but when I have done things God’s way, it is perfect. Ephesians 3:6-8 says, “And this is God’s plan: Both Gentiles and Jews who believe the Good News share equally in the riches inherited by God’s children. Both are part of the same body, and both enjoy the promise of blessings because they belong to Christ Jesus. By God’s grace and mighty power, I have been given the privilege of serving him by spreading this Good News. Though I am the least deserving of all God’s people, he graciously gave me the privilege of telling the Gentiles about the endless treasures available to them in Christ.” Like Paul, God has also given me the privilege of sharing “the endless treasures of Christ.”
I never thought I’d say it, but I’m going to be a missionary. Starting in July of 2013, I will be serving with Adventures in Missions through a program called the World Race. This program is an 11-month mission trip in 11 different countries around the world (11in11 as we World Racers like to say). On the World Race, my team and I will serve in partnership with churches and ministries in local communities to preach the gospel, plant churches, work in orphanages, minister to women and children who are victims of human trafficking and bring rejuvenation through the hope of God’s love to many tribes and nations. Through adventure, ministry, community, and self-discovery, I will develop a broken heart for the lost and hurting world, thus driving my life to further God’s kingdom wherever I am.
I am so excited about the opportunity before me and I am very confident that God will provide all that I need for this trip. My hope and prayer is that He will do that through you. I’m writing this letter to ask you to please prayerfully consider partnering with me in my ministry. There are two main needs that I have: prayer and money. As you have read, this journey is one that is only possible by God, and my team and I need to be lifted up in prayer constantly over the next 18 months. In order to go on this trip, I must raise $15,500. This will cover all of my expenses on the field. This financial support can be given as a one-time gift or as monthly donations, wherein you choose the amount and beginning and end date. If 50 people pledge $25 a month for 12 months, and 5 people give one-time gifts of $100, my trip would be completely paid for.
You are invited to share in this ministry with me! Please make checks payable to Adventures in Missions and return the response card with your donation to Adventures in Missions, PO Box 534470, Atlanta, GA, 30353-4470. The response card will provide AIM with the information necessary to send you a receipt for your donation. If you would prefer to make your donation online, you may do so by visiting my blog at georgiawartman.theworldrace.org. Just click on the “Support Me” link in the upper left side of the page and complete your donation as instructed.
Let me say in advance, thank you a thousand times! Know that partnering with me in this ministry is blessing the lives of so many. I am truly honored to have you as a part of my life. Thank you for your support and your service to God in this way. My prayer is that He will bless you ten-fold what you have blessed me with.
“And pray for me, too. Ask God to give me the right words so I can fearlessly explain God’s mysterious plan that the Good News is for Jews and Gentiles alike.” Ephesians 6:19
God bless you,
Georgia Wartman
