I spent the last couple of days pondering what should be included in my next blog and I feel I should begin describing to you what are ministry has been like this month. So far I have begun a tutoring class with a girl who wants to learn english better this is not my area of expertise. But I have come to realize that just the presence of spending time with her, learning about her family, and their traditions in order to begin to find an opening to share the gospel with her is the best why to spend these sessions with her.
Secondly we have been helping out at the WonGen Cafe which is a coffee shop that has smoothies and authentic thai and little bit of american food. This awesome place is a front for sharing Christ love with the community “WonGen” stands for: a generation won to Christ. Pretty awesome name For a ministry going on here so i have been able to interact with customers and show them Christ love through working at the Cafe. As you probably already know this is my area of expertise and experience just from working at Chick-Fil-A for so many years so I really have started to enjoy the work that I am doing here.
Lastly we have been able to begin inviting people to events such as open mic nights on friday nights and game nights on wednesday nights and an English camp that we are doing this coming weekend up in the mountains here in Chiang Mai. So we have been visiting the college campus here in the city and inviting people to these events. Everyday during lunch we go and sit with the rest of the students at the university and pass out flyers for these events.
Please be in pray for the camp this weekend it is another front for sharing the gospel with these young adults and we need more people to sign up for it to be successful. And please keep the rest of the ministries in prayer that the Lord will use us to accomplish what needs to be completed.
Also please consider helping my teammates finish their support goals for the December 1st deadline to stay on the race and continue the work that needs to be completed!
Also, they just anounced a change in our route we are headed to Malaysia next!!!
