   This is our ministry site for February. We are living in Phnom Penh, Cambodia where we are working as English teachers to over 300 students from ages 5 to 25. I cannot explain how much God has blessed me and my team to be able to work with these people. They are absolutely beautiful and their hearts are just the same! Cambodia has been through a lot in the past 50 years, over 3 million people were murdered during a genocide in the 1970’s. Crazy how most Americans have never heard about that. Even with the horrible memories and history in Cambodia, the Khmer people are HUNGRY for the word of God. They want to study the Bible and they ask all the time how they can live more like Christ. J It makes ME want to be better!!!

 
   

   So, what exactly am I doing? Well, each of my teammates and I have our own English classes that we teach. There are 5 guys who are on staff here at the church and we go with them to their classes to help teach. Haha, they tend to have “sore throats” a lot so basically we teach the whole class. I personally have a preschool class and a 5th grade class each morning, and then in the afternoon I help teach level 3 and 4 English classes. They probably know more English/grammar than I do 😉 These guys that we work with are absolute sweethearts and love the Lord like CRAZY! J

 
 

     These people not only love the Lord, but they all like to DANCE! Haha. We put on a Valentine’s Day program for the whole school and it was full of skits, Jesus, and the Macarena! God has given Joy to this place even when most of the children go home and don’t live in very good conditions.

   
 
   It’s very dusty and dry here. And dirty. We as Americans would never stoop to this level of living….but maybe we should J There is so much happiness here for the people who know Jesus! I LOVE CAMBODIA <3 It’s going to be a sad day when we leave here, but I know that God has used us! The kids LOVE giving and getting hugs and high fives. You can’t go into a class without them latching onto your leg! Again, we are blessed!
