The land of the Thai It is hard to believe that only a week a go we were in Thailand. This past month has had its ups and downs, but all in all it has been the best month yet. It has been an intense month for sure but I have also felt alive and encouraged. First, I simply love Thailand! I was there 5 years ago, but more up north. Although I was in a different part, it still inhabited the same lovely Thai people. I love the friendships I have been blessed to make with Mark and Sharon as well as the girls in the shop, and other Thais. Second, I was finally able to put some films together once I received a computer!! I can not even begin to tell how good it felt to be able to do one of the main things I came to do on the race. I love the process of creating and telling stories, as well as being able to show others what is going on over here! I hope you have enjoyed them, too. Many more are to come! I also really loved the ministry we were involved in and the work we were doing. This past month also confirmed in me some passions of mine. I love hearing others dreams, passions, and visions and helping to facilitate them into being. I also really enjoy helping others discover their passions and dreams. I love helping people obtain their dreams and visions and do the starter legwork for that to come about. Helping to be part of a think tank and get things off the ground. In the beginning visionaries can get bogged down with all that needs to be done. I love being able to come beside them and help them do the leg work and pull together resources needed to help them. I am not really sure what this means for my future and my calling, but I do know that I will be doing something involving…well not really sure what to call it… I suppose a dream consultant, facilitator and movie documenter. I may have to work on the exact verbiage — I am not too sure how that would look on my business cards. We were able to get up a web site as well as an eBay store for SHE! We also had four girls join SHE before we left, which doubled SHE’s employees. Going to the bars and building relationships with the girls was intense to be sure. Many times I became overwhelmed with the desperation of the place, yet at the same time overwhelmed by the grace of God and very aware of His presence and what He is doing in Phuket. He has not forgotten them and is working there. I loved hearing their dreams and seeing that sparkle of hope in their eyes, they know deep down, they are meant for more than the life they are leading. It was hard to leave, but the journey pushed me forward, Phuket will always have a special place in my heart and I hope to return some day. So now I venture on with my team to Battambang, Cambodia to work at the University of the Nations. I am excited for what the next couple of weeks hold. Well, folks that is my story. I hope all is well in your corner of the world! Thanks for sticking with me. Keep Dreaming I wanted to upload some pics to show you all but the computer I am on is not letting me — but I will post them later!!
