This is a big week for the Guatemala base.
In approximately one week, we will be doubling from 12 people in the house to 24! Some are returning teammates, but most are brand-spanking new. I’m always pro-more people. Logistically, however, there are certainly more things to consider. It’s not like our bedrooms and bathrooms are doubling with everyone coming.
In the midst of influx of people, we have also heard the Lord speak to us to move to Lake Atitlan to train and disciple Guatemalans and spend time with some of the indigenous people. The hope is to have two bases running, one in Antigua and one at the lake. However there is going to be a splitting of people to be able to operate at both locations. At some point there will be a praying into which location each of us will be serving at.
Lastly, my 6-month commitment is coming to an end the beginning of March. It is incredible to think I’ve spent half a year in Antigua! Feels like I’ve been here for such a short time.

In the time so far I have discipled local Guatemalans to strengthen their faith in Christ, encouraged weary missionaries that have passed through our house, dove deeper in my own relationship with the Father, and brought the Kingdom of God to everyone The Lord placed before me. It has been an incredibly blessed time…but it’s not over!
I do feel the call to be down here for an INDEFINITE amount of time. There is a place of ownership that has been placed on my heart about the work being done here. In the meantime, I am fundraising for additional 6 months of living here. Thanks to those who have faithfully given, instead of $5,500 for 6 months, all that is needed is $4,000!
Certainly it is going to be an exciting week as people come to join in the work the Lord has here in Guatemala and as we EXPAND to multiple locations!
