Do you realize how much power you have?
One thing I realized yesterday is just how beautifully magnificent of a creation WE are. We are created in the IMAGE of God. We are sons and daughters of the King.
Genesis 1:27 “so God created man in His OWN image”
Romans 8:16 “the Spirit himself testifies with our Spirit that we are God’s children”.
If you have attended church, you know this. But, do you truly BELIEVE this?
Do you walk in the confidence that your Father is the Creator of the Universe?
Do you feel the power in His name, or are you stuck in timidity?
Do you realize that you have the ultimate connection?
Kayla Zilch gave a powerful sermon on Our Identity in Christ yesterday at church, and it got me thinking about all those questions.
The Lord has been dropping hints to me about “speaking life” all year – but yesterday it truly hit home.
Have the power and security in Christ to know the TRUTH. Know you are what HE names you. Know your identity in Christ.
I AM Powerful.
I AM Brave.
I AM Enough.
I AM Beautifully and Wonderfully Made.
I AM Confident.
I AM Loved.
I AM a Daughter of the King.
These labels are the truth. These names are from my Father and my Creator. He knows my identity because he formed me.
Jeremiah 1:5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you”.
All the negative labels that the world puts on me, and that I put in myself are the lies. They are attacks from the enemy. If choose to submit to God the devil will FLEE from us.
James 4:7 “Submit yourself, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you”.
He won’t only leave us alone, he will run in the other direction! He knows that if we are submitting to God, that he needs to be afraid of us. He knows that we have the power of the Holy Spirit in us.
Truly ask yourself what you are naming yourself?
What are you letting others lable you with?
The devil wants to lable you as weak, anxious, depressed, unworthy, ugly, unlovable. All of these words have POWER. If the devil can get YOU to use those words against yourself, that is when they have power.
The devil has NO power against us. He has already LOST to my Father. I am untouchable because I believe in Jesus Christ, and His Spirit is IN me.
Matthew 28:18 “Then Jesus came to them and said ‘All authority on heaven and on earth has been given to me'”.
The devil does NOT have power or authority, so he manipulates us to use OUR power against ourselves.
Don’t forget the authority you have in Christ. Don’t believe the lies instead of the truth.
What are you speaking into existence in your life?
We have the power to create reality by what we say. Remember how God created the world by speaking it into existence? We are created in His image. Our words are powerful!
I want to encourage you that you are enough. You are worthy. You are beautifully and wonderfully made. You are sanctified. You are free. You are brilliant. You are confident. You are powerful. You ARE, because that is the identity you have in Christ.
