There’s just something about Morong, Sendme, and the home that they’ve created that has that sweet aroma about it – you just want to keep going back. The kids they’re raising are some of the sweetest, kindest, most thoughtful kids you could meet. There’s even a tangible difference in the lives of their neighbors because of their presence. The grandmother next door no longer forces her granddaughter to beg from the neighbors – Morong and Sendme share whatever food they have with them. On Sunday afternoons, kids from the neighborhood are invited over to hear Bible stories, sing songs and play games together in the hopes of reaching them and their families with the Gospel. Through their simple trust and obedience, God has used them to bring about His kingdom right here on this earth.
The Little Children and JesusPeople were bringing little children to Jesus to have him touch them, but the disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” And he took the children in his arms, put his hands on them and blessed them. (Mark 10: 13-16)

It’s been such a blessing to get to know these amazing people and to witness the way they are bringing children to Jesus. It’s made me think more about how I might do the same as I get all these opportunities to spend time with kids. How might I bring them to Jesus and not hinder them?
