It’s finally here everyone, less than 3 days we will be boarding a plane to Cartagena, Colombia. From there my team and I will take a 14-17 hour bus ride to Medellin, Colombia. However, you may be wondering what I’m currently doing in Atlanta, GA until launch? Well, there is several roles for the field such as Team Leaders, Logistics, Treasures, and Squad Story Leaders who arrived on the 4th; followed by the rest of the squad on the 5th.

For those who may be unaware, I am a Team Leader. I know when you hear the word leader, the first thought is someone in charge. But a team leader for the World Race is not the boss, parent, or responsible for the spiritual, emotional, or physical health of a team. As a leader, my job is to serve my team by putting their needs before my own. I am to lead by example, influencing my team to be challenge daily in their walk with the Lord. Aside from that I will be receiving information from Adventures in Mission and passing it on at appropriate times for my team and ministry host.

Also, I will be partnering with the marketing team as a Squad Story Leader for the World Race. I will be an advocate for those who have no voice by sharing his or her story to the world. Not only that, but I will share stories of how God is moving through our team. This will be done through blogging, pictures, and sharing videos. I’m honored to hold this position knowing that God is using me to spread his kingdom through the lives of those who He encounters.

Finally, I want to thank everyone who has joined this journey with me by praying, donating items, encouraging, and financially supporting me in this ministry. It truly has been amazing to reflect back and see God stepping up in mighty ways. One way the Lord has been blessing me is through financial support; to see how God has called people to step up and give has challenged my faith tremendously. I’m only $2,748 away from our second to last deadline which is September 30th. Would you consider financially partnering with me on this journey? Whether it’s $5 or $100 you’re joining me on this walk and getting me one step closer to the deadline. I also ask that you keep my entire squad in your prayers as we all travel to South America to bring God’s kingdom on earth. These are 30 plus individuals who said yes to the call on their life to serve Christ. They have abandoned their lives, secured jobs, relationships, family, sold their vehicles, and much more to serve in the mission field for the next 11 months living out of a backpack.
