Who Am I and What Does This Map Entail About Me?
Hello! My name is Fabian Cortez, I am currently finishing up my last semester at the University of North Alabama with an undergraduate in Social Work. I have a passion for children and those in poverty. I have a sibling that is not only my sister but also my best friend. I love anything outdoors and adventurous even if it’s risky. I love to travel the world but not the kind of traveling that an ordinary person would do. What does he mean you ask yourself? Well, I travel to see a world become transformed by the power of God! At the age of six I accepted the Lord as my savior, from then on I always felt apart from the world. Of course, I was young and did not understand the full concept until the age of 23 (my current age). As I reflect back into my childhood, I vividly remember the Lord calling me to the mission field, however, I would spend about 16 years of my life baffling with God over my calling. I fell into a deep romance with the world, engaging in activities that were unpleasing to my soul and most importantly my savior.
Though because of God’s grace and love that I can never fathom over, He rescued me from the pits and sat my feet on the rocks. Through a spiritual vision, the Lord redirected my path into the mission fields in November of 2015. So I’m about to embark on a journey to South America and see what God is about to do in my life.
