A NEW JOURNEY
The past few months have brought a lot of changes for me personally. When I chose to take a break from seminary I knew God wanted me to go overseas and serve somewhere cross-culturally. I just didn't know how or where. Through some friends I learned of what Adventures in Missions was doing with the world race, so I began to look into it. God started opening a lot of doors and I was accepted into the July 2012 squad. However, I needed to know that this was where the Spirit was leading me. It wasn't until 2 weeks ago as I was spending the morning alone with God and seeking him in prayer and in the Word that I clearly knew that he was in this.
I have talked with many of my friends and family about the world race, but here is an overview of our mission. We are heading to 11 countries in 11 months, leaving in July 2012 and returning the States in May 2013. We will be spending approximately 1 month in each country, which includes Romania, Bulgaria, Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia, Nicaragua, Honduras, and Guatemala (see www.worldrace.org under "routes" July 2012 2nd route). We will be working with many different ministries in those countries. Much of what we will be doing specifically is still in the planning stages, but we will for sure be sharing the gospel of Christ and showing the gospel of love everywhere we go.
In order for our mission to be possible I need to raise $15,500. I am praying for God to bring people to partner with me in this new journey. God has always proven faithful, and we know that "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible (Mt. 19:26)." I am excited to see what God is going to do!
